The Integrative Biology Core, laboratory support function, is custom tailored to fit the needs of researchers utilizing NHPs. Complex studies with analysis can be performed as well as simple functions such as shipping of biohazardous materials nationally. We have an array of scientific equipment and abilities that can be utilized to further the research capabilities of a project. The lab has extensive experience in handling NHP samples with great care. Specific protocols are followed, or they can be provided to the specifications of the researcher.
Study timelines can include items such as blood processing (serum, plasma, PBMC purification), bodily fluid and tissue processing, analysis and assay development (nucleic acid purification, PCR, ELISA, Luminex), vaccine and test article preparation, infectious inoculum preparations (BSL2 level), and shipping of the acquired samples back to the researcher. New protocols can also be developed in collaboration with the sponsor.
Budgets are developed for use of the IBC and are provided in the total budget review prior to study start.
