Save the Date: October 20-23, 2026

The Southwest National Primate Research Center announces the 43rd Annual Symposium on Nonhuman Primate Models for AIDS, to be held in person October 20β23, 2026, at The Westin Riverwalk in San Antonio, Texas. Recognized as the premier forum for sharing the latest advances in HIV/AIDS research using nonhuman primate (NHP) models, the symposium draws more than 250 of the worldβs leading infectious disease experts. Scientists, veterinarians, faculty, graduate students, and investigators at all career stages gather to present discoveries and progress in HIV intervention, treatment, prevention, and potential cures, including research on related coinfections.
The program features three days of keynote talks, interactive sessions, poster presentations, networking events, a welcome reception, and a gala dinner. The keynote address will be delivered by Beatrice H. Hahn, MD, of the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.
San Antonio is a vibrant South Texas city known for its rich history, diverse culture, and warm hospitality. Home to the iconic The Alamo and the scenic San Antonio River Walk, it blends historic charm with a lively modern atmosphere, celebrated cuisine, and year-round festivals.
